Less than eight miles north east of Royal Tunbridge Wells, Paddock Wood is the centre for hop growing in Kent and was featured in Charles Dickens' novel Dombey and Son. One and a half miles North of the town you will find The Hop Farm, set amongst the world’s largest collection of Victorian Oast houses, this once working Hop Farm is now one of the South East’s most popular family attractions.
From Paddock Wood Station you can reach Charing Cross in less than an hour, which makes Paddock Wood a popular commuter town.
